I am an independent design professional, installation artist and cultural event curator. In short, I create experiences through my designs and artworks. I started out in Fine Arts and Architecture, but I always knew that I wanted to do more than just design physical space. I wanted to design whole experiences instead. The main thing I love about what I do is having the general public as my audience. I want to be able to share my point of view with others. This has led me towards spatial design and curating cultural events.

For my day to day job, I am either designing brand interiors or creating art works. I have also worked at Cause+Affect Design for the past eight years, where I helped produce the PechaKucha Night Vancouver speaker series, as well as designed a number of exhibitions and interiors. The exhibition work included the design and production of Vancouver House for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games; Vancouverism, a world-traveling celebration of Vancouver architecture; Townshift, a ‘Visions for Surrey’ public engagement exhibition; Movers & Shapers, a Vancouver arts and culture series.

I currently sit on the City of Vancouver’s Arts & Culture Policy Council, advising City Council on civic arts and culture policies. At night, I am the editor of The Proof for the VancouverIsAwesome blog, where I showcase local creatives and establish a promotional platform for them, and also advertise social events and art/design exhibitions. I use the few remaining hours to do what I cherish the most - I make functional objects.
